The Armour of God

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

We see that this was written to the Christian. I hope that this will also be informative to the non-Christian an encourage them to obey Acts 2:38 and really become a Biblical Christian

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

God provides a way for the saint to be able to stand against the devil.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

The battle is not a physical, but rather a spiritual one with MULTIPLE foes.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

There are times when one has "done all" that one merely needs to stand fast.

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

The TRUTH of the Word of God and the breastplate of righteousness. A Christian that is not living rightously has no breastplate.

Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Feet that are shod with the gospel will not be running to and fro seeking thrills and excitement as the world does.

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

THEN after all that, it says ABOVE ALL, taking the shield of faith that you would be able to quench some of the fiery darts... NO it says you will be able to quench ALL. That YOU will be able through FAITH!

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The helmet of salvation.. salvation means freedom from sin. One with sin in their life has no helmet. Study the WORD of God which is the sword of the Spirit. Everything so far was a defensive weapon, but the SWORD is an OFFENSIVE weapon.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

PRAY FOR OTHERS! Pray in the Spirit, and WATCHING. Pray always.

Put on the Whole Armour of God. If you are not yet a Christian, obey Acts 2:38 to become a Christian and then you too can put on the full armour of God.
